SUZLEE IBRAHIM : C O M M E N T A R Y
"THE paintings that are on show are acrylics, finished with oil bar. He first acquainted himself
with the oil bar in England and gladly found his style and the oil bar complementary. His publicist says that most of Suzlees
paintings have a strong expressionistic slant, suggested by the spontaneous brush stroke.
The artist has also found himself replacing his brushes and palette knife with other malleable
objects. Suzlee also replaces his dominant brush strokes using repeated lines. The result is a totally different style but
with essence of his previous works. Suzlees art is collected by serious collectors and public figures."

"Pada tahun 1993,
saya mula mengajar di Fakulti Seni Lukis dan Seni Reka, Institut Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam dan ditempatkan di Jabatan Tahun
Satu (Kursus Asas) dengan memberi penekanan pada tajuk Element
and Principle of Design. Sepanjang tempoh itu saya berpeluang
(membuat kajian) mendalami topik tersebut. Movement atau pergerakan adalah salah satu elemen yang bukan sahaja menarik
tetapi memainkan peranan yang penting dalam penghasilan sesuatu karya seni. Selama 2 tahun saya menfokuskan topik ini pada
karya-karya awal. Sejak tahun 1995, terhasillah Movement series yang terus berkembang hingga
